St. Philip the Apostle Parish would like to cordially invite you (or someone you would like to extend the invite to) to come and learn more about the Catholic Faith through our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program.

Who is RCIA for?

• Un-baptized adults
• Adults baptized in non-Trinitarian formula
• Adults baptized as Catholic, but lack First Holy Communion and Confirmation
• Adults baptized & confirmed in the Catholic Church, but lack First Holy Communion
• Adults baptized in other Christian Churches, in the Trinitarian formula

What Will the RCIA Class Cover?

As in the early Christian communities, in our RCIA classes, we will look at the four main pillars on which the life of faith rests. First, we will cover “the apostles’ teaching,” that is, the Creed, which contains in it all the essential pieces of the Catholic faith. Next, we will consider the 7 Sacraments and especially “the breaking of bread” which is an ancient term for the sacrament of the Eucharist. Also, we will look at God’s Commandments, which summarize the Moral Teachings of the Church. Finally, we will learn about “the prayers” of the Church and how one enters into Prayer.
